Got some Sugois I've had for about a year (but I'd call it six months of proper use) are still going fine other than the little removal straps...

I just bought some assos fingerless summer gloves. I've only worn them once but they were comfy.

I've got some PI gel gloves and they aren't really standing the test of time so well. Will see how they go.

I've had a pair of these for 6 months. The velco is just about lost its grip. Great glove, but a bit dissapoined that I'll prob only get another 6 months outa them. Had a pair of Netti's for 3+ years and they are till going strong as a spare, albeit the terry toweling is getting a bit scraggy.

+1 for the Trek Club-mitts. I bought a pair of these about 2-3 years ago. Simple glove with no gel and a fairly lighty padded, simple palm, but they just keep on going.

What about for comfit? I have just started riding and i'm starting to rack up the K's quite fast.

By the looks any of the brands seem to be ok.

Again Specialized for me. They have nice little pads under part of the palm that when used with drop bars provide perfect comfort.

I've had these now for going on 12 months - they're brilliant. Machine washable, and they dont lose their chape - got them at 99 Bikes for about $40.

You may want to include MTB fingerless in your search as they are generally more durable than road.

These gloves are available from c r c for $11.08 . At that price I just bought two pairs and a couple of other things so I would qualify for my 10 quid welcome back voucher. Postage is only $8 for up to 10 pairs. An 11th pair will double the postage, surely nobody needs more than 10 pairs of gloves though

I got a pair of those last night too. Had some others in my basket and thought for $11 I should get them as well. Time will tell which ones are better

They're quite similar to the assos ones (with the snot toweling pads on the back of the thumbs) but they're only $25! I've had them for over six months now and they're still like new.

I had to cut the gel off mine because they were incredibly uncomfortable with flat bars. Not bad once the gel was removed though.

Yeah, I'm a bit ambivalent on the gel pads - dunno whether they improve my grip or not. May add some comfort but I'm more comfortable with gel-less gloves.

Went to one Aldi today for the gloves and they were all gone!

I have the Spesh gloves too (Road Gel I think) for $45. 2nd pair as the dog got to the 1st pair.

Longest I've gotten out of a pair of gloves is just over 12 months, but I was mine after each ride, which doesn't help. That includes Roekel, Giro, BBB, and a few others.

ONLY thing I don't like about the Spesh goves is no loops for removal.

I got some new gloves on Tuesday from Avanti Plus in Rockingham.
Brand is called 'Zero' and they feel very similar to the Specialized BG gloves I have.
The gel padding is good for when you ride in the drops a lot, like I do, to prevent pressure on the ulna nerves.

I reckon those loops are mostly a waste of time. If they're not too fiddly to get hold of, they fairly quickly tear out.

Rx - Undo velcro tab on mitts. Insert one (or two) fingers inside the palm. Push the glove off.
