Hi i have a Specialized dual suspension XC MTB i paid about $1800 new for in 2006. It is in excellent condition and has rarely been used so im going to sell it. Im not sure what the value is. I also have a bunch of gear to go with it. I have no idea what it is worth now so i was wondering if anyone here might know. I will send a link to the add.
Thanks

Hello, The link was broken so (as admin) I removed it.
The basic answer is that it is worth what another person is prepared to pay for it.
Suspension has come a long way so for the buyer is is likely an entry to a full-suspension bike and there is massive depreciation so perhaps $500. For gear it is hard to judge - you can try packing it together but be prepared to separate.

Depends a bit in what gear is on it, at $1800 for a dually I’d expect lower mid range groupset, deore-ish. As above things have moved on since 2006, it’s 26” is it? Most XC bikes are now 29”, so it is likely to also have that against it.
$500 if it is in great condition sounds reasonable. I just bought a 2009ish dually, 26” with Devore level gear for $370 and think I paid a little too much for its condition, but it was a good solution to my cracked frame and having something to build all my good gear onto. Sub $400 was my target.
