Meet up, Melbourne cycling. Very friendly group catering for all levels of cyclists. I'm moving to Sth Australia and this Meet Up group is one of the things I will sorely miss.

The Tenax Ride Collective is very good at introducing new riders to group riding - and they are a very friendly bunch and always have something happening on their calendar.

I hear St.Kilda CC is also a great club, encouraging women to join in and ride - socially and competitively.
There are plenty of options.
cheers

The Rowville Riders I've ridden with a few times based in the South-eastern suburbs. Very friendly bunch & have a number of female members.
Found this review on them:

Hawthorn CC has a massive women's program and is beginner friendly.
