Sydney weather this morning!!!

I left later than planned at 8am, hoping fog would lift. It didn't. Started to clear around 9am on way home. I avoided the gorges around Hornsby and just did short ride on quiet roads as was worried about motorists ability to drive in the conditions. Visibility was well under 100m for alot of the ride.

I did ride in this morning but didn't on the way back. I probably could have made it back dry but it looked too unpredictable and all the roads were wet anyway. I'm also WFH tomorrow.

Friday is generally a quiet day in the office except for me and a few other devotees who work mostly 4-5 days per week in the office (I bet the work from office cheer-squads don't work from the office that frequently).

I have had the bike up at my desk with me a few times this week and it always stops people in their tracks. Actually even yesterday while I was sitting down eating breakfast outside with the bike beside me some random people also having breakfast were looking over it very closely.

Managed to ride to and from work today; got wet on the way home. Based on the forecast, not bothering to get stuff dried off, cleaned and ready to ride tomorrow. Not happening.

Was out and about a bit today. a few drips but nothing major in my part of Sydney until after sunset.

Looks like the bottom if it is making landfall at the airport then heading west south west.

All reports suggesting that Sydney is going to get a right bucketting so yeah I think it might be a bit dicey riding for the next week.

Beautiful sunny day! Am pumping a few inches out of the pool and I've emptied the strategically placed buckets in the garage, but otherwise no issues where we are

Yes beautiful day. Went for a ride at 8:30, very few cars (weekend sports cancelled I expect), roads mostly dry on return, and just a small amount of debris to deal with.

Did you ride through Bobbin Hd? If so, was there much debris?

No I thought it might have too much debris and possible flooding at bridge.

A certain amount of mud and rubbish on bits of the Cook's River Path (western, probably worse east of Canterbury Rd) and near the Powells Ck tennis centre. Nearly had a fall in one of the underpasses on Cooks due to a lot of squishy mud in heavy shade just where you have to a) turn and b) climb...

Walked down the stairs of my block of flats this morning to see we'd had a minor flood wash a fair bit of debris through the front door, across the foyer and out the back. Given the gap between door and floor is less than 1cm must have been a fair bit of water pressure.

At midday, then WFH rest of afternoon then go to a conference in the evening when it was still belting down with rain.

I think Tuesday was just an aberration this week. This morning's commute was fine, although quite a few degrees cooler than it has been because of the south westerly. The rest of the week is looking good for riding.

Ideal weather! Lots of riders this morning on Pacific Highway heading out and back from the Hawkesbury River.

Looks dodgy today on the radar so will not ride outside.

Checked radar and only a few small showers showing so rode loop through Bobbin Head. Hadn't been thru there for a while but it was good to see roadworks and slope stabilisation happening. Sign said closed nightly from Sunday thru Thursday. Only saw 3 guys on mtbs. Got a good 90 minute ride in no rain. Wind picked up after I got home. So all good!
