The best hammocks for sleeping are the ones that enable you to lay diagonally to the centre line. These "air suspended bed platforms" (with the broad, rigid lengths at the head and the feet) are more easier to tumble out of.Aushiker wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 6:02 pmAn interesting concept of a hammock/tent combination. The Kammock. Their original model the Sundra seems to have reasonable reviews and they have a Kickstarter for their Sundra 2 model due out in November 2020. Its packed weight is 2.63 kg. Looks a little bulky to me but still, the idea of a dual option is appealing.

I did get that impression from this one. Apparently there is another brand which does allow for a diagonal sleeping position.Cheesewheel wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 1:06 amThe best hammocks for sleeping are the ones that enable you to lay diagonally to the centre line. In this modern frame bag age, especially with afoldable airport luggage design, it see.seems viable to me .... at least until you reach the 10k question. If you buy me one I will show you how to take it touring

Ditto - I think a dry bag I have + a few grunt straps would get me through short credit card touring adventures.
