Cycling Exercises.

hey guys, Just wondering what exercises there are to do to improve your cycling, i do squats and calf raises from time to time but just wanting to see if there is anything else? so basically an exercise that helps you get more more power in the legs.

Sorry if it sounded like a smart ass answer, was not intended to be.

Long steady climbs, I found great for strentgh, as well as strong head winds though this could be dangerous on a busy road.
Intervals etc...

The more you ride the better you'll become

If you can't ride a bike, then do whatever to get your aerobics up.

If you can ride, then just ride.

I guessing you have a gym membership. You could mix it up with some spin/rpm classes at the gym. Good interval training

When I do weights I tend to do lower back and core strength type things. They don't help with speed or anything, but I've found as my core is stronger I don't really suffer so much from flexibility or postural issues on the bike.
