Not sure if anyone has posted b4, but whilst i was a the airport today i got a copy of July/August bicycling Australia and on page 20 there is a write up about cyclist Jason Austin how broke the 35-39 year old age bracket world hour record by 2.676 km at an average speed of 48.317 km/hr.

Jason was coached to his world record breaking time by Alex Simmons and given the kind and generous information he provides here in the training forum and all of us who use his tailor made programs i thought it would be nice to give recognition where its due. Well done Alex keep up the good work and cheers for all your help in training

Thanks for that.

Jays was interviewed some time after his record by a couple of media outlets I think and BA published one in their mag. Not all stories in magazines are "current" in these days of website based news but are meant to be of interest and informative even if a little out of date.

It's a good article - and well worth reading. I watched Jason doing the challenge, and followed Alex's and Jason's write-ups of the event here, but still found the article provided new and worthwhile insights to it. Jason's efforts were well worth the recognition, and it was great to see the article providing a bit of good publicity for both he and Alex.

Cheers

In addition to that item, I did a detailed analysis of the attempt vs his previous one:
