Commute Pictures.
Postby martinjs » Thu Dec 11, 2008 10:37 am
Here are 2 pics from on off my routes. Depending on the wind this road is my favourite.
This was taken on my outward ride, I some time go up to 20k's before I turn for home.
Taken from the same spot on the way back.
How about some others?

There's no street view out my way, only around town.

Looks like the bush fire season is upon us.
PS. Pretty good to have a 38km bike loop interrupted by something interesting.

This is peak hour in David Street Albury
This is 200m from the CBD.. Sometimes I even have to open my eyes when I'm ridding
This is now Peak hour at home time. Again.. have to be careful to avoid traffic
Come winter time I dress up before attacking the 2degrees outside on the way home. Well.. I put a jacket and a set of gloves on.

Warm up with a run along a treelined street...
Watch out for glass outside the Top Pub...
A brief glimpse of countryside...
Petend I'm cycling the 'Dales...
Vista with the destination in view, it's not so far...
Zip past the lake...
Finish off racing the cars up the hill...

I Live in Goldsbrough and watched them get unloaded from a ship via a crane.I was riding on ANZAC Bridge this afternoon and heard this incredibly loud aircraft engine noise and thought that I was about to get caught in a 9-11 styled attack on Sydney. Fortunately it was just those 5 big fire fighting helicopters warming their engines on the dock. No ideas how they got there though.
2 are going to Vic, 2 in NSW and 1 to QLD I was told by a firey from Pyrmont

I think you are right. I was blown away by the clear water of Indian Ocean when I visited there the first time.Dunk wrote:Fremantle has the better riding.

Some photos from one of my commutes. I took them every 10 minutes into the commute. Just where I was.

Other end of the bridge (sigh) - these next couple of shots were taken off the Shorncliffe jetty
Looking back to Redcliffe
back toward Brighton and the southern end of the bridge
Brighton to Sandgate
Shorncliffe cliffs
Shorncliffe to the Cruising Yacht club
Bike can have a rest till this arvo till we do it all again.
Just a quick note to visitors, there is a bike path and roadway along the foreshore for the entire length of these photos which makes my mornings absolutely fantastic on mornings like today.
