Hi all, I wanted to see if I could raise the bars on my 2016 Scott Spark 940.
I've never touched them before and this is the first 'modern' bike I've had so I looked online to see how it's done.
It seems to me that I only have one spacer (about 15mm) and that it's already in the lower position, meaning the bars are already as high as they can go.
Am I correct and if so, is there another way of raising the bars?
I'm doing more cross-country riding now I'm in my 60's so looking for a bit more of a comfortable position, given my saddle is already pretty high. I'm ~163 cm (6').
Attached a couple of pics. TIA

welcome outside. Imgur is a bit tricky - you need to copy the image link rather than the url
Yes your stem is as high as it can go on your fork
You can get stem risers like this
I've been hesitant to use one, but duck would have a better idea of whether they're good bad or indifferent. You can also get adjustable stems, which I'm not a fan of - as you adjust them higher, the effective stem length drops & steering gets a bit twitchy
Anything you can do, I can do slower

Thanks for the welcome and the info Bruce, and I appreciate you fixing up those pics for me. Very nice of you.
The linked item seems ideal, and that one is reasonably priced, and something I can fit myself without too much trouble

The stem riser shown above is good if you need a big lift from your current bar height; the minimum rise they give is about 50mm, which is quite a bit. If you don't need to come up that much, swapping the stem to one with a greater rise angle will do the trick.
Avoid at all costs adjustable stems, as also mentioned above. Aside from the change in effective stem extension, the things twist and wobble horrendously which does nothing for confident bike control.

I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Thanks Duck!, that's all really good info. I'd not considered the minimum lift of it.
Congrats on the 9999 posts I saw, and now the 10k too.
