Most people have no idea how good Keith was. His palmares are incredible.
Proud to know him a little bit. So sad to lose him.

Yes, sadly you are right DD and another reason why I'm a believer in talking about the old times and reminding others about our history, for without the history in the sport, just have a bunch of ignorant plebs not knowing how things arrived where they are today.

I was at Dunc Gray a few years ago with a ladies team pursuit team. I asked if any of them knew who the old bloke standing on the other side of the track was. Of couse they didnt know who Keith was. So I gave them a 5 minute history lesson. Next minute he had 4 lovely young ladies all over him getting photos and chatting with him. It was nice to see that respect.foo on patrol wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 8:10 pmYes, sadly you are right DD and another reason why I'm a believer in talking about the old times and reminding others about our history, for without the history in the sport, just have a bunch of ignorant plebs not knowing how things arrived where they are today.

I just finished watching the final farewell ceremony for this Legend and what an incredible man he was both on and off the bike. RIP
