Anyone else entering this weekends event?

A few mates and I are entering, we're just hoping to finish!
125kms and 3k vert is the biggest thing we've ever tackled, 5hitting our pants is an understatement.

Wow, what an incredible event. Perfect weather with literally no wind, a bit of cloud cover, and a torrential rain patch from the night before that compacted the gravel and washed away loose rocks. Sublime conditions.
Mates and i finished in a little over 8hrs officially, this included lunch stops and lots of waiting at the top of climbs as we waited for each other.
Strava says actual moving time was 6hrs 41m for me.
Absolutely blown away by the scenery out there, considering its effectively our local backyard.
Will definitely be back to have a proper crack next year
Highly recommend the event

I've heard this is a brute of an event. Don't think my legs could do this realistically, but there's also a "Slow Seven" which is done over two days of riding, and is pitched as a more social option rather than a race. Seeing as I'd be on a dual sus enduro bike, slow would be the word!!! I reckon I'll give that a go one day. $220 is pretty good I reckon:

We saw plenty of duallies on course, spinning their tiny front rings up the climbs, then absolutely bombing the downhill sections.Mububban wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 11:40 pmI've heard this is a brute of an event. Yep, saw that ride too, looks like a nice social ride indeed
