The $2 million shared path sits within the parklands along the edge of Kings Park Road and connects with an existing shared path on Harvest Terrace.
The new path will grant riders a peaceful alternative to the stretch of unprotected road, which contains parked cars and two lanes of traffic.
A person died while riding on this section of Kings Park Road in 2014.
