10 minutes into ride and on a roundabout. A lady came through in an old 4wd. Hit side on.
Abrasions and lump on shin ( like football days) sore shoulder.
Police were there in 5 mins. 2 ambulances in 10 mins. Bystanders were excellent. How do you thank them now.
Bike buckled front wheel and some carbon damage- will have it looked at.
Jersey unscathed. Havent looked at bike camera yet.
I was lucky that it was a lady driving slowly and not someone accelerating at a roundabout.
CB
First hit by car today.

Bugger that you got hit, but also great that injuries only seem superficial. Buy a lottery ticket !
Was it the old "I didn't see you" excuse ?

Glad you are okay dude. It’s never a good feeling being hit so early in a ride.

Hopefully it is "First" and last hit by a car.
Sounds like you were lucky (which is fantastic). I was not so lucky 20 months ago - 4 days in hospital, plastic surgery for facial injuries, permanent nerve damage, torn ligaments in wrist & shoulder, fractured vertebrae plus the usual scrapes etc - and the bike was a write off. Not recommended.
Hope you have relatively minor bike damage and are riding again soon.

That's lucky with the injuries but not good about being hit.

Sorry to hear mate - glad you sound mostly okay... be sure to take it easy for the next few weeks.
I got hit for the first time back in early December, and I've been off the bike since. No broken bones, but something wrong with my groin/hip I can't seem to get a definitive diagnosis on.
Thankful it wasn't worse, but it's mentally destroying me not being able to do any real form of exercise. No idea when I'll be able to get back on the bike.
Hopefully you're back out there soon! It's not a pleasant experience.

Glad you're relatively OK. Bikes can be replaced.
Yeah. Roundabouts. Sigh. I feel for you.
I got t-boned a few years ago by a little 88yo lady who was driving so slowly I mistakenly assumed she'd seen me and was preparing to come to a stop. Nope. Continued on at the same snail's pace, straight through me.
Long story short, bike and myself were OK but the driver was so "slow" and so lacking in perception regarding what had happened that I felt I had no choice but to get police involved on site to assess her fitness to drive. The police officer did in fact suspend her licence after interviewing her.
Take it easy. I hope you're OK and nothing further pops up in the next couple of days.
