Too right, I might work part time, but am also considering volunteering, there is a place in Port Melbourne that fixes up bikes and sells them cheap, might do some of that. Maybe also do some climate action, decades since I've been arrested for protesting :D

YTD 3201kms. Beat last year by 5kms

That's probably me done for the year as I finish work today and head to Qld for Christmas, unless I get a ride in on 30/12 or 31/12 when I'm back

Rolled over the 3800km yesterday. 10 days to go, I should get another 200 in to tidy up the year.
I really should take up cycling!

Well I retired today, so the klms will start happening for me from the 1st of January and I can assure you, that there will be no embarrassing total of 40Klms for the year again!

Well that's me done for 2023.

Distance Goal 8200km Actual 7,495
Elevation Goal 50,000 metres Actual 45,334
Due to some prostrate issues my year effectively finished at the beginning of November so fell a bit short on goals.
With surgery done and in recovery hope to be back pedalling around mid January

I wish all forum members a very Merry Christmas and a successful and happy 2024

Looks like I am close to done for the year at 5,894 KMs. Missed a lot of days commuting for various reasons: vertigo, got COVID recently, holiday etc. But not bad considering.

I am finishing work on 1 March next year and not sure I will work again, so my riding will be just recreational from then on, just need to make sure I keep getting out on the bike.

I'm at 3800km for the year, the majority of that is on the E-Cargo. Longest ride was 55km. Kids have really changed my cycling habits.

Best wishes then for a less frantic schedule in 2024.
When you think you can face the road again, you might have to do some travelling, with a bicycle on the back of the car or van

113km more and I'll have to resign my membership in this club

Currently sitting at 9,887km for the year, with a fair few of those on the mountain bike.

2023, done and dusted.
Not as much as hoped for but not too bad.
505km for December.
7322km for the year.
I no longer ride indoors, it drive me nuts. That probably accounts for the 1100km shortfall on my goal.
I realise now that my biggest years were in times of extended drought. Clear dry weather topped up with Zwift produced quite a few 10-12K years. The last 2-3 years the indoor enthusiasm died and we've seen much more rain. I'm getting older too.
Not to worry. I'm enjoying my newer bike, dog, walk, drum routine. It's keeping me above ground. :D

Good stuff on the other interests Tim. :)
I'm with you on the indoor cycling.
Only when away at work when I can't ride otherwise.

2023 was a mixed year. On the plus side I achieved a distance goal and lost 2.5kg and on the negative the goal was walking / running and before losing weight I gained 5kg.

On the bike I managed 2,181km which was short of my goal. I did more riding inside and had three months with nothing outside. Having moved to Western Sydney outdoor riding on busy suburban streets doesn't appeal and sometimes it's just easier to jump on Zwift especially when the weather looks wet or windy or cold or...

Hoping to do more in 2024 including more outside.
