I was thinking the same Foo. Brilliant ride by Leigh Hoffman to open up a gap of 0.519, with Matt Richardson holding on to most of that giving Matt Glaetzer an advantage of 0.31. Unsurprising that the dutchies came home strong, with Glaetzer just being able to hold on by 0.043.

After the recent performances by the mens track team, any win is fantastic.

Shame about the mens pursuit - they will have to find another second to win bronze.

Will the women make up the 4 s they need to get into the gold medal ride?

Some video here.

I know nothing about track cycling but yeah, they opened up strong at the start and held them off. 8)

Thanks for that Warty - I'd seen the results but didn't think to check if SBS had the footage. I'm a long term fan but despite being a couch jockey I feel comfortable commenting here knowing that if I say anything too stupid Foo will soon sort that out

Women made up some time, but not enough & comprehensively beaten by France in the race for bronze - darn good time set by the French & brilliant ride by the Italians to take gold. A fairly forgettable day for the Aussies - 4th in mens team pursuit, 9th in Women's elimination, didn't make the finals of the keirin

Have you found anywhere to watch the racing?

No great surprise overnight with Filippo Ganna easily taking out the individual pursuit

[edit] knew it was quick but didn’t realise Gabba smashed the record by 0.3s

That was a very good and well paced ride and just mind blowing when you look at his average speed.

Nope not a chance. They just have the power there for that to happen.
