Hi, I am trying to find a bike for city commuting but none seem to have a weight limit suitable for me. I’ve contacted a few bike shops and they’ve all said they don’t have anything.
I’m starting to feel pretty defeated. Does anyone know of any brands that are sturdy that would accommodate my size (weight + 181cm height)? I’d prefer a women’s bike but happy to consider a men’s because I know I can’t be choosy….
Even any brands that don’t have a high official weight limit but are pretty sturdy?
Thank you!

Have you considered an e-bike? Most are very sturdily built and it sounds like some assistance would be of benefit.

As these posts come in fairly regularly, below is a link to a previous thread. Which links to other former threads. Hopefully you find something in there that is useful.
