Not sure if this has been posted anywhere but...
Starting 1st July, bicycles will be allowed on translink trains during peak in peak direction (previously this was not allowed).
It is a 6 month trial only. Most likely the only reason its being allowed is that train patronage is still down ~40% on pre-covid levels.
This is long overdue and IMO should make a dramatic difference in the ability of people to commute longer distances on bike.

At the end carriages only. 2 max per carriage (4 bikes total per train). Still at the discretion of the guard/driver who can still deny you from boarding with your bike. I broke a spoke and took my bike on a peak hour train a year or so ago. I didn't know it wasn't allowed. Got some glares
