Can you get a deeper wheelset from Hunt at a similar price (not bad!)?
You wont notice a deeper rear wheel in terms of handling.
You then have a deep front wheel for the still days if you feel the need for speed.

Was doing 50.6km/hr when I hit this beauty
Wheel sitting there to show close up detail. Wasn't that deep, but the leading edge was nice and chunky
That big bit towards the right of the pic is the bit I hit (given the damage was only on the right side of the rim

Time for an update :MichaelB wrote: ↑Sun Feb 26, 2023 1:58 pmIt’s been one of those bike related crap weekends
See the ICAN build thread for the other two, and then on a ride this morning, couldn’t avoid a pothole at speed
Luckily, could ride home albeit carefully.
Staying away from the bike for the rest of the weekend !!!!

That seems a good wheelset for the money.

I am older and slower than you. I've started riding the gravelly a bit on the road with different wheels and tyres.Mr Purple wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 11:43 amNearmap used to be excellent but I believe is subscription only now.
Yes, this is a pretty standard policy. If it turns out someone else complained about the pothole prior to you hitting it they'll accept full liability - a guy I know holed a sump and had an entire engine replaced in his car this way.
You're probably experiencing the same road versus gravel conundrum as me currently! My Checkpoint would hit that at 50km/hr+ and laugh. My road bike is like 'oh, a stick' and tries to kill me. A little mindset adjustment has to happen in the first few minutes of every ride.

As did I. Went log in many years ago and I curse daily over that. Figured MichaelB may have work access? At least Streetview has dates. Usually 5+ back to ‘07 in Melbourne Metro area. CBD gets updated 3 times a year or so.
