Will 12 speed chain, like CN-M9100 will work on 11 speed cassette, like CS-R9100? ....I don't see why not...?
Has anyone done this?
Is it smooth changing gear like they saying for 11 speed chain on 10 speed cassette.
or
Is it complete risk and waste of time?
Regards

I'm wondering why you'd want to do this?

I doubt it.cookiemonster wrote:Would this 12spd chain on 11spd cassette give batter, smoother shifting...
My two mechanical 11 speed bikes shift perfectly with the recommended chain, cassette and chainring combinations. As do my 10 and 9 speed bikes.
Smooth shifting depends on proper derailleur adjustment and tuning, chain and cog wear, good cabling, and overall maintenance.
Why pay bucket loads more for a 12 speed chain when good quality 11 speed chains can be had for peanuts?
Non speed-series chain/cassette/rings combos might work but aren't likely to work any better.

Stick with the correct spec.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.
