Hi guys might be a stupid question.
I have a Giant Defy Advanced 2 with 12mm through axles. (giant PR-2 Disc, tubeless 12mm axles 28H wheelset)
Just wondering if i get one of these 12mm to 9mm quick release adapter
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bike-12-15m ... 3384728977
plus a standard quick release skewer will i be able to use a standard dumb trainer?
Cheers in advance.

I believe that is designed to allow a 12mm thru axle to work in a frame with a 9mm axle dropout, so not sutable with your frame..
I have a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine dumb trainer. When I got my XC bike fit done a few years ago from The Body Mechanic at Milsons Point, they had some Kurt Kinetic adapters that allowed my Scalpel with a 142x12 rear thru axle to fit into their KK RocknRoll trainer.
Some Specialized adapters I was loaned by a mate wouldn't fit as the frame above the derailleur hanger flared out and got in the way, but the KK ones worked a treat. Being KK, they won't be cheap but might be safest option to avoid frame damage.
