After much swearing and confusion, finally got the front brake mounting sorted, with some spares I had laying around from eons ago. No matter how I tried to orient the standard Shimano adaptor, with and without the CPS washers, it hit/rubbed somewhere

The end solution was to use some cylindrical spacers that I bought eons ago , a pair of 12.5mm and 17.5mm long spacers, but with one end dished to accept the convex CPS washer and that finally worked !! TFFT !!

Found this picture here to illustrate, except I didn't use the washers under the head of the bolt (as I don't have any more but will try and find some), and it seems to be an Avid item. Even Cannondale mentioned that they don't have a specific adaptor to suit what I want, and pointed me to a one piece Avid adapator.



For whatever reason, just couldn't get the Shimano one to work, but happy I've at least got it sorted.

Thought that a quick update was due, as it's been a while.

Now have over 900km on the setup and it all works well still.

Have built up a set of wheels as well (AR30 rims, CarbonTi Lefty & DT350 hubs) to use with the dry weather tyres. Absolutely loving the bike and got a great ride in on Saturday, with 46km and 900m elevation gain, including some new tracks that I hadn't yet tried.

Downhill switchbacks and really rocky/loose stuff still has me nervous, but bike is doing great !!

Well, now that the Llewellyn is finally starting and the new house planning is properly underway, N must remain at 2, which means that one bike will have to go, and sadly, it's the Lefty GT.

I'll be putting up an ad in the For Sale section shortly, so if anyone is contemplating a brilliant XC/Gravel MonsterCross bike that is a bit left field, look no further.

Prefer to sell it as a whole, but if enough people are interested, can & will separate it. Have travelled a brilliant 1,611km on it since built up by me, and it's a great bike

Wheels : - 2 wheelsets included
Wheelset #1 - Stans rims, Project 321 front hub and Hope rear 10mm thru axle end caps, fitted with near new
Wolfpack 2.1" MTB tyres
Wheelset #2 - newly built ARC30 rims, Carbon Ti Lefty hub and DT350 TA rear, with 700x42 WTB Riddler tyres
Lefty Spares : Comes with the tools, video and o-rings to do the 100hr service, as well as fork oil to to the 50hr flush.
