....the third prototype was released at Christmas time, 2018. It reads like a piece of Apple technology. A lightweight frame using aircraft grade, rustproof aluminium contains everything from a removable, rechargeable battery to a rain poncho. There’s a grease-free rubber belt instead of a chain, a motion sensor alarm and GPS ‘find my bike’ tracker, as well as built in cable lock and lights, keyless unlocking and even a USB port.
They’ve also thought of including an emergency tyre repair kit. The battery will last for 80km of riding on full assist and the power cord has a magnetic plug similar to that of an Apple computer, so that if it gets yanked, the bike won’t fall over. All up, it weighs 25kg.

Thanks again mikesbytes, some feedback on this cycling clothing.mikesbytes wrote:ABC outlets are having a sale, nothing over $30. I've purchased 4 things
https://abcoutlets.com.au
Bought 2xpair "Master Roubaix Cycling Biblongs". First ride yesterday on what looked, felt and proved to
be an excellent chamois (105km). The lycra is a little furry as its supposed to be and was toasty all day (16cMax).
At $20 a pair they are the best buy I've ever had in cycling clothing compared to Castelli, DBH, Endura
in the past.
At 183cm&99kg 2XL are a generous fit, maybe 1/2size smaller would be better, maybe XL race fit.
Grabbed a couple of jackets, excellent value, wore one all day "Lochard Rain Cycling Jacket" and in the
cool conditions it was quite good. Hotter, say 18C + it could be a bit warm.
2 x pair of "Australia Knicks", same chamois as the Bibs, should be fine in Spring/Summer.
Someone wanting cheap but excellent quality (to me) riding gear should be happy with this gear.

Thanks for posting the feedback, always interesting to see someone else's view on the productsPeter A wrote:Thanks again mikesbytes, some feedback on this cycling clothing.mikesbytes wrote:ABC outlets are having a sale, nothing over $30. I've purchased 4 things

Me;
1. UNO longs (no insert). I've purchased these to wear at the gym under shorts. They are a tad short in the legs, or to put it another way a tad long on the body, otherwise good. I'll give them 9 out of 10, a good rating considering the bargain price
2. BNC repica bib nicks. I'm yet to wear them however the feel of the material and the padding seem good
3. Vitesse MBT shoes. They are stiffer than my Sidi plastic soled MTB shoes, shall find out what they are like when I get some cleats
4. Socks. Haven't got a wind tunnel to test them in

OORR are and Australian brand who are all about sustainability and ethical production of cycling wear, of course with the quality to match. OORR are currently doing a clearance of stock and I believe that it will be like the Dutch flower auctions where the prices gradually fall until purchased... so stock and size-availability won't last.
Currently their original OORR jersey is $51. Be aware that this jersey uses a thicker textured weave.
The current models jerseys are $133 and use a sleeker material and bold designs.

IIRC, they only moved warehouses about a year ago? (maybe 2? my memory is fading as I am getting older).
There were some cheap ADF/cadet boots (on a cycling gear website!)
YMMV, I haven't trawled through their website muchly, just don't have the time...

In a nutshell, wheels preferred by the worlds leading Triathletes such as Patrick Lange - world Ironman Champion because the tech delivers. Also a direct-to-customer approach to save the costs/markups of the middlemen - so also more competitively priced than the big name brands.
They are over the $1000 threshold deliver to Australia, but excellent value, I have ridden the Hadrons and am a fan... so now is the time if you are considering.
Prices are 940 Euro to 1440 Euro depending on depth, rim or disc brake and the level (classic or ultimates - where only the spokes / hubs differ, carbon rim is identical.
