Thanks...been looking for blue Bibs! What is their sizing like?AUbicycles wrote:MAAP (Awesome cycling wear) has a 24hour sale on now with up to 40% of regular prices. There is a lot of run-out kit (so some common sizes are not available). Even on sale, it is not cheap kit, but well made and great quality... so now is the time so see if there is a bargain.

I am 191cm and 88kg and normally am an XL but have noticed some kits are better in L...

These are surprisingly decent. Might grab a few for spares - always seem to loose my sunnies all over the place.Mububban wrote:Anaconda sale on their Fluid range of riding glasses - all $5 down from $30 - $80

$5 is about right for the "photochromatic" Covert Sunglasses - I have a pair but they start off grey & don't get much darkerMububban wrote:Anaconda sale on their Fluid range of riding glasses - all $5 down from $30 - $80

And that's ladies and gentlemen why I have a pair of Oakley photochromics.find_bruce wrote:$5 is about right for the "photochromatic" Covert Sunglasses - I have a pair but they start off grey & don't get much darkerMububban wrote:Anaconda sale on their Fluid range of riding glasses - all $5 down from $30 - $80

Lol didn't realise the second pair were photochromatic. Can't be too good at that lol. I have a pair of rudy's photochromatic and they are decent but I find too slow to respond. Are oakleys much better (faster?)?jasonc wrote:And that's ladies and gentlemen why I have a pair of Oakley photochromics.find_bruce wrote:$5 is about right for the "photochromatic" Covert Sunglasses - I have a pair but they start off grey & don't get much darkerMububban wrote:Anaconda sale on their Fluid range of riding glasses - all $5 down from $30 - $80

I loaded up on the Rudy's via Rotorburn glitch pricing a while ago - decent lens bt I wouldn't be paying anywhere near full price for them. My Oakley (full reflective non photochromatic) ones are much nicer than the Rudys. But somehow I find myself still going back to the stupid anaconda lens every now and then when I prefer a yellow lens.MichaelB wrote:Empty your wallet fasterjasonc wrote:They seem fast enough for meCalvin27 wrote:Are oakleys much better (faster?)?

Sizing is fairly normal, but the leg grippers are far too tight. The shorts don’t have the best padding either. Stylish for the short coffee shop ride, but not good for lots of huge kms.TheWall wrote:Thanks...been looking for blue Bibs! Two pairs of MAAP shorts here and one jersey. I wear size S in MAAP, 175cm tall, 59kg.
In short, not worth the price. You can get better.
Cuore with their “gold” level kit is better for the same price. Rapha as well.

Will post my thoughts after a couple of tries. Recently picked up some Morvelo kit and that is super comfy. 1st ride was a very hilly 3 hour and they were great.

I bought 2 pairs, took them into the sun, with one pair covered, there is a noticeable difference in darkness after a few minutes.Mububban wrote:$5 is cheaper than the Bunnings safety glasses I currently ride in I'm going to check them out on the weekend and see how they fit. My long luscious eyelashes don't allow me to wear a lot of close fitting glasses.
Better than my Tifosi imho, and for 5 bucks a bargain in my books

Thanks mububban for the tip.
A mention of safety glasses above, used a pair of $15 bi focal safety glasses for several months, found the small reading lenses at the bottom perfect for quick check of the Garmin and handy if using the phone etc or other important stuff such as ordering food (from menu) with coffee.
A problem surfaced though in that something I thought was Vertigo started to happen, quite disconcerting and never experienced before !
Bought some TIFOSI 3 lense interchangeables 3 months ago, no more vertigo at all.

Grabbed a pair of these as spares (or until I can find the Oakleys) and for $5 they're fine. Can't imagine they would've sold many (any) at the full rrp of $79,95 or whatever but for $5, brilliant.Mububban wrote:Anaconda sale on their Fluid range of riding glasses - all $5 down from $30 - $80
