Another happy Farsports customer here: got the Farsports Hyper rims (50 deep, 24 int, 30 ext, hooked, no holes) with DT Swiss 350s and Sapim CX-Ray spokes for 1250 AUD shipped. Weight 1395g. 70% finish looks stunning. Tubeless setup with Pirelli P Zero Race was dead easy, just put on and pump up with track pump.

Much lesser-known, but very good quality and well priced rims can be sourced from Carbonal,
www.carbonal.net I've built a few sets, for myself and others, never with any issues. They cover all bases, and I particularly like them because they're one of a very few still making 559mm carbon rims!

I ordered some drop road handlebars on sale from Jenson in the US a couple of weeks ago. It was possibly the first thing bike bit I've ordered from the US since COVID sent trans-Pacific shipping into the stratosphere. It came via UPS for $US30. I wouldn't call that cheap, but the box was pretty huge (for volumetric shipping calculations), and it's not out of line with many online stores overseas these day.
UPS had it here quickly too.

Ali Express shipping time is so good now, two deliveries inside a week.
Got long leg bibs from two different shops and both arrived very quickly.
X-Tiger full winter fleecy bibs. Very warm for freezing mornings.
YKyWBike Spring/Autumn bibs for slight less cold mornings.
Happy with both. Chamois seems OK so far.
Buy one size up though for waist fit. YKyW ones have longer legs and no ankle zipper though, so short leg me needs to fold up.
Cheap enough, so not so concerned about longevity, but time well tell.

CCACHE are my new go to for local parts/accessories.
Bikebug used to be the bomb, but ever since they merged with Pushys, dispatch has been slow and then I've got to wait for the order to come from Queensland down to NSW.
Multiple orders with CCACHE now, and dispatch is the same/next day (depending on when you order), and prices are the same, if not better than Bikebug/Pushys.

CCACHE very, very highly recommended, particularly the in-form crew at Marrickville. I often call in at the Melbourne store, but if something isn't in stock there, it's no biggie to hop on the interwebby and place an order. Cuppla days to come, but no sweat. Bewdiful.

Have to agree on Pushy’s. I bought a thermal POC jacket and actually forgot I ordered it as I bought a few other clothing items off eBay at the same time. It arrived 3 weeks later with no explanation as to the delay. It was not on backorder on the website. Pretty poor I think. Ccache are great and have a great range.

The online purchase was fine, but Aus Post - what a friggin shambles !!!
Bought an item for the new car (OBDII Dongle) and paid extra to get it shipped express post.

And this is meant to be overnight ......
And what is worse, I CANNOT speak to someone again about it, as it is not past the "scheduled delivery date" ....

Away from the big cities 'Express Post' has meant nothing for a very long time, way before COVID
.
Receiving, the parcel hits the nearest big sorting office (in our case Newcastle, or even sometimes Sydney) and then seems to stop. Sending is no better. Useless for business, we had to resort to couriers if it was really urgent.

purchased varia RCT715 mounts from Concentric Cycling.
delivered within a week.
nice packaging.
nice finish, no burrs.
looks to be of high quality 3D-printed composite material.
can't wait to use it.
not cheap but the original Varia elastic band is getting really stretched.

AliExpress, ordered a digital shock pump. The seller shipped an analogue pump. Raised a return and refund request, sent a photo and got a reply within an hour with an Auspost return label. Very similar to doing an Amazon return. All in all, good service from AliExpress, original shipping was about 1 week too.

A couple of years ago a mate was moving back to Brisbane from Perth and he sent a few boxes of stuff with AusPost (addressed to me at my home address). One of the boxes came to Brisbane, got as far as the Heathwood centre and was redirected back to Perth.
When it got to Perth it was sent again, this time via Sydney. When it got to Sydney, it was sent back to Perth, and this time they tried to deliver it to HIS home address in Perth. He went to local office and asked what was going on, and of course they didn't know.
The third attempt got it back to Brisbane, this time to a centre on the northside, and it was again returned to Perth, and this time they delivered it to his block of flats and just left it in the foyer on the floor.
He took it back to the local post office and (obviously) they wanted to charge his to send it back to the original address. He blew up and pointed out that it had traveled around 35,000km at this point. No-one could explain what had happened. The post office re-wrapped it in brown paper to make sure that all previous markings etc were covered and tried again - this time it made it - 8½ weeks and over 40,000km later (almost a global circumnavigation distance).

After a length online chat, it seems that "it was probably the redirect stickers didn't work (stuck on badly or illegible), and that the refund of postage costs can only be sought by the sender"

I've had some funny ones. I ordered a bike computer mount from the UK a couple of years back and a box of moisturiser arrived. They thought it was hilarious - turned out the sticker fell off their label and someone just randomly stuck it to a box of moisturiser.
I've also had some crackers from the US. As in car parts which arrived to Brisbane literally overnight from the US and then took 2-3 weeks to be shipped to my suburb from the airport.
That and any interaction with 'Couriers Please'. They once completely failed to deliver a package to me for three weeks. I drove across town to their depot and they then yelled at me for walking in their carpark. 'Trucks drive here'. Well yeah, but I'm not really sure how else to get from 'Customer Parking' the three metres into your office.
Incidentally they have the worst online reviews for any company I've ever seen. It's almost worth a read.

I've not had any trouble whatsoever with AusPost since I began with a Parcel Collect address at the local PO. Full tracking from origin to destination, SMS and email alerts of arrival at PO for collection. All done through the Post app.
No safe place to drop things in my townhouse complex, so I signed up for their free service around 3 years ago. Express Post is a by the second day for regionals/interstate. Next day for local.
