A bin full of helmets at under 12 each. I have heard of chaps buying cheap helmets to collect the Aus stickers.....don't know why.

I mucked about for about 10 mins or so trying to screw the mount back to the light but the screws are so crappy I gave up. Shouldn't have to anyway on a brand new light (I know they are only $40 but they should be better made IMO)

Sometime in the not too distant future I hope to try to do a beam shot comparison between this light and AYUPs.
I was happy that there is only a relatively short cable on the actual light and also the battery and not a 2m+ intergrated cable like a cheap Magicshine lookalike I previously had. This means I can mount the battery under the stem . There is a longish (~1m) extension cable supplied if you want the battery in your jersey pocket or elsewhere on the bike. There is also a helmet mount supplied for the light.

Loose bracket on mine pulled up OK with a precision driver, thanks for the heads up.Ross wrote:I just bought the Aldi front light (https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys ... ure-light/) but the mount that is screwed to the light body came away while trying to attach the light to the handlebars so it is going back for exchange.

The bracket itself is sized for standard bar diameter, if you're oversized it might pay to chop an old tube up to pack it a little.
Light is serious bright compared to my G1 AYUPs in a totally non scientific, prop them on the bars near the AYUPs and look at the shed wall twice test.
Methinks I won't be using the flash mode unless I'm planning on inducing seizures or starting a mobile disco.

The second set I got seemed to be ok, mounted them to the bike without any problems. I noticed the screws were covered on this one where they were visable on the first set and also another set I looked at in Aldi last night.Mulger bill wrote:Loose bracket on mine pulled up OK with a precision driver, thanks for the heads up.Ross wrote:I just bought the Aldi front light (https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys ... ure-light/) but the mount that is screwed to the light body came away while trying to attach the light to the handlebars so it is going back for exchange.

Plenty of pumps and tool kits still available, a couple of camelbaks, no repair stands left, and only one lightset.

not really. fluoro yellow in small which is great for garden gnomes but useless for everyone else (srry i just watched trump debate, im good with insults right now). everything else is nearing 200 which is not much of a sale price.caneye wrote:Torpedo7 having a CASTELLI sale. gabba2 for only $150+, among other things ..
great jerseys btw, only have them in SS but use arm warmers with them. higher range of temps than most winter jerseys with or without a baselayer (without can go up to near 20degrees).

I reckon that's an auto (car) one. You are better off grabbing a bike specific one like an IronArm from Cycling express or similar (Bike Hand is the one I have that's exactly the same as that) for the same price. Maybe do a search for Torque wrenches as it had a thread on this recently.tron07 wrote:This Saturday, Aldi got a Torque Wrench, $29.99. Is the range good enough?
