At speeds over 10 mph (16 kph), aerodynamic (aero) drag becomes the dominant force of resistance, with no wind on flat terrain:

Completely true but "dominant" in this case just means more than the other "resistive" forces (tyre rolling resistance, drive train etc) which are fairly minor and mostly fixed regardless of speed. As you know the wind resilience is proportional to the cube of the speed so that at 25-30 is lowish but ramps up very quickly with speed. I am happy to maintain 25 maybe a little more as long as I can do that all day.

It becomes the largest resistive force to overcome at approx 16kmh.
Therefore if you can make yourself more aero at 25kmh you will do said speed easier as it will be well and truly the largest resistive force at that speed.
Yes you need to be able to do so comfortably.

Anyway, I just piped up as I am aware how it can improve speed being aero.

A side issue in this thread.
I am sure that bike will be able to be set up to be comfortable at any rate and it looks to have the capability to be relatively aero if so desired too.

I picked up the bike yesterday. I fit a set of GP5000 tyres, adjusted the seat height, fit my pedals and accessories and then gave it a short run to bed the brakes in. It's super comfortable, I just need to go for a decent run now.

Ultegra mechanical is brilliant too.

That's a good looking bike and good call on the tyre change - probably the best value upgrade you could have made.

Thanks mate. The Ultegra shifting is sublime. So much smoother than the 11 speed flatbar shifters on my Giant FastRoad Advanced 1.

Thanks mate. They are good tyres. I used them on my FastRoad too.
