That one swooped me during the week too, but as it's part of my commute it's going to be hard to avoid.

There is one on the Federal Hwy near the Tulip farm.

It had a crack at me as I was coming off the old federal hwy back onto the federal hwy.

I watched a maggie having a serious go at a postie on his motorbike, turning right off Flemington onto Northbourne... I've now ridden that section of Northbourne three times and not seen a thing!

I saw Ross's one at the Red Rooster roundabout (corner Athllon and Atkins street) go a cyclist in a serious way yesterday morning. A vikings club chap had just passed me going up the bikepath there and the bird was on him like a mad thing - multiple hits and flapping just above his head. I held one arm up to run the gauntlet but got through fine. on the way back there was a Vikings Triathlon cyclist and a runner stopped watching for it. Thanks to them for pointing out which tree it was sitting in then because I expected the full force. Twice in 2 days I've got through there safely.

That means I'm a goner there tomorrow....

There's one on the entry into the Canberra Hospital from Yamba Drive at the pedestrian crossings. Had a couple of goes only. I'll rate him a 2/4 for aggression.

There was one aggressive bugger on Urriara Rd. He was having a field day with the long line of riders competing in the TT today

I was warned about him before the race but didn't see or experience him - maybe I was going too fast!

That one on Uriarra road always goes after me :(

I saw someone getting swooped on Ipswich St the other day, she seemed oblivious though so I don't think there was any contact

I got swooped for the first time this year on the weekend, and it wasn't even a magpie, I think it was a plover :(

Now I feel happier that my front dérailleur cage snapped a couple of k's down from Stromlo on Saturday.

Drake-Brockman Drive near entrance to Pegasus Riding School - swooped just above me for about 200 metres but didn't make contact.

Nth side of the lake tugg dam wall on the bike path. First swoop of the season but pretty tame with it only coming within 1m or so, no contact.

Ipswich St in Fyshwick from the traffic lights near Smiths till well over the railway tracks. No contact made but he was very persistent. Prob 10-12 goes at me all up. Could have been hairy with a bit more traffic.

Hopetoun circuit in Yarralumla - just before the roundabout with Schlich street on the way to the lake. Had a couple of hits at me - thankfully I was able to get out of there quickly. This is my first magpie season - do you guys now how long these guys are aggro like this?

Sounds like the same place as last year. Some only last a fortnight or so, others will keep bombing for a good 6weeks +. Then of course when you think its all over there will be a few late bloomers to keep you on your toes :P
