History of Graecross proten

Postby crispix » Wed Mar 24, 2010 9:31 pm

I have a graecross proten mens bike manufactured in Bayswatwer Victoria, Still has the stickers on it.All pretty much original except for the seat. Not sure of its age, Can anyone supply information on the history of the company. Also a website or contact to check out the history and try to work out the age of the bike. I think it may be up to 30 year old. Thanks Doug

Hi Doug,

You might have more success if this were in the Retro section.

A few pictures would probably help too.

G'Day Crispix.

RK is right, I'll sling this thread to the retro section.

Google is your friend.

Check the component date codes:
http://www.vintage-trek.com/component_dates.htm

That'll tell you how old they (and the bike, probably) is.

I have recently acquired a graecross and have the owners manual with it. I have searched the net for information without much success. Mine was painted from new so I have no stickers on it at all. I will be following this thread to see how you go and If I find out anything I will let you know. Mine has a model hand written on the back of the booklet that reads either Recal or Regal 21 2223 any info would be appreciated. cheers and good luck
