I just wish I could find one here for $60 bloomin dollars...thought I would post it for those of you who might be interested.
For $60 you get full body scan and then results via email....
Total body bone mineral density
Total body muscle mass (kg)
Total body fat mass (kg)
Total body fat percentage
Muscle and fat mass of the trunk and each of your arms and legs
Central abdominal fat measurement
Accuracy to one tenth of a gram

Good for those who want to get to low body fat % accurately...and this is the only real accurate way.

This is a DEXA scan - Dual Energy X-ray Absorbitometry, which is commonly used in the elderly to measure their bone density to assess whether they are at risk of osteoporosis and fractures.

If anyone goes through with one of these remember that it's a medical procedure that involves radiation exposure (X-rays are radioactive remember), which is why you need a Dr referral to get one done.

Skinfolds etc are a bit more fiddly but still effective for estimating body fat and there's nobody zapping your body with X-ray

It's less than the background radiation (from your own cells, the dirt, the solar system etc) you receive in a day, plus you don't have DEXA scans daily.
I also don't believe you need a doctors referral for one for body composition.

Better get off the computer; it's a source of radiation

On topic. I wish somewhere in Perth done DEXAs. Until then, the rib visibility test will remain.

Thanks for posting this TLL. I'm thinking about getting one. And I might be able to swing a referral from my GP too, which will mean I can do the scan + consultation ($90) and get $50 back from medicare.
