Shame he lost so much already. Hopefully has a good day or two coming up.
Yeah, not sure if he is cut out to win a 3 week race, but he certainly is giving it a crack.

When he did well in the Tour O'Connor similarly made a lot of time winning after a break away.

We'll see what tonight brings.

Roglic is strong and doesn't seem to be affected by the heat as much as other riders. But if he has to ride hard for multiple days it must take a toll. O'Connor doesn’t like the heat from his comments on Strava. Hopefully some cooler weather in the mountains.

Well done last night to O'Connor, bit cooler up North and he has almost 4 minutes. Time to dream?

It's probably the best that I've seen him ride, despite the fact that he doesn't like the heat.

Jay Vine deserves a big mention for how well he is riding, when you take into account that horrendous crash that he had and the injuries that he sustained. He is very lucky to be able too get back on a bike and not be in a wheel chair.

This years Vuelta is interesting in a weird way - 1st O'Connor then Yates & Carapaz make up huge chunks of time to go from seemingly gone to back in contention. It seems none of the contenders nor their teams are capable of controlling the race, so should keep things interesting

What did you expect? He's riding a special rebadged Ecarpet with Cervelo stickers on it. Was good enough for The Great One to rebadge his Colnago, it's good enough for Wout!

He still has a bit in hand, but Bora have a strong team, and some of the super steep stages will favour Rog, but there is still a long way to go.

Even if he slips off the podium, he can hold his head high and he'll learn a lot from this experience.

Good also to see Eddie Dunbar win from the break. Jayco certainly need the points !!!

He goes real good on long climbs but the short hard ones Roglic has it all over him, so he needs to be very smart with his riding and his Team needs to pull their finger and support him better than this last nights Stage.

Oh well he got the lead with a great stage breakaway.
Almost 2 min gone on the last stage. Wont have it too much longer you wouldn't expect.

Looking at the stages to go, it is hard to see O'Connor winning the tour. Hopefully he can stay on the podium.

He stayed upright and is okay, his bike was swapped out because of damage.

Nice one for Kaden Groves, I thought the climb was going to be too tough for him, but he made it over & timed his sprint well

That was a brutal climb at the end !!

Great ride by Ben to still be ahead. Thought Rig was gonna go full speed but didn’t seem to have the legs ?

Mas still going well, but TT will kill him

Roglic should of been given a one minute time penalty for the motor paced effort after the bike change, instead they gave him 20sec, what a friggin joke! :x

It was because it had a dinner plate size rear cog on it, single chainring on the front and only 30mm rims on the wheels which equaled climbing wheels for better speed.

Three Australians in the jerseys. With 1:25 on Mas in 3rd & 1:46 on Carapaz in 4th, Can O'Connor hang on to the podium? Shame about van Aert crashing out

Haven’t seen the full details or stage, but saw that Ben is still in Red, so that’s a great outcome so far.

Saw that WvA crashed at the start, but didn’t know it took him out.

Will try and watch tonight
