Bike storage - what have you got

Similar to Thoglette, both my bikes have kickstands and they stand side by side on the concrete floor between 2 brick uprights in the Double Garage. I've got them kind of spooning each other to save space without actually touching.
Both bikes have rear Ortleibs on rear racks so I can't be bothered taking them off every night.

Only have a small Corolla and a Suzuki Motorcycle next to each other in the garage so it's still easy to move around.

Screened in 10 x 14 porch. Bushes prevents anyone from seeing the bike.

Hi, no I didn’t. I just ended up convincing my wife to let the bike live inside and got a floor stand

Aldi have floor stands available today if that suits $60

I leant a bit of pool fence against a wall. Put the rear wheel between the rails. Then becasue that wasn't enough I built a platform above it and a second bit of pool fence for up to 12 bikes on their wheels and able to get any of them out without moving all. Can squeeze a couple more in, but then you can't remove anyone you want at any time.

Bicycles not only take up a lot of space in garages, they also tend to get buried behind all the other stuff that's crammed in there. The Kradl is designed to help, by hoisting bikes up to the ceiling. And what's more, it doesn't use any electricity.

In a previous house I achieved a similar result with a couple of pulleys, bit of rope and a tie off cleat.

Note that it requires a bike that has something like a top tube and one of a given diameter. Meaning no mixte or stepthrough and of course no recumbent. Also I wonder how it would go with an ebike given the battery is often not dead on the centre of gravity but would pull the bike one way.

I've pondered some kind of storage like that but it would be way too hard to rig something that would take a 'bent (two wheels or four) without a fair bit of hassle to get them up straight and true.

Many years ago I rigged this up to carry my MTB. I have a recumbent bike (Greespeed) which I've also hung up there, and I tried get my bent trike up, but it was too much worry for too little result. It worked well until the rope wore out and the replacement doesn't work as smoothly but it sort of does the job. When it was working properly it was pretty well self levelling.



I think I bought it at Bunnings or Mitre 10.

I just got lucky when we bought the house - bloody big shed down the end of the back yard. Bikes take up little space in there.
