Grey and windy (although it has moderated from last night) but dry on my side of Port Phillip. Even getting some bits of sunshine. Still only 11.5 deg. outside though.

Best day in the next week's forecast happens to be on my birthday. :)
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Was in Melbs yesty. It was way better than Benders. Pea soup fog in Bendigo and blue skies in Melb.
No bike with me though :(

Cloudy and peculiarly warm in the wilds of Hipsterville.
A wee bit more windy than expected. Sunny early this morning, but that has gone.
Still, it's lunch, and time to chow-down. :D

The standard weather app that comes with iPhone gives me the willys.

This morning at 6am it “said” that it was 6 degrees in Murwillumbah. And it felt like 6 degrees.

But at the same time it said that it was 9 degrees at Noosa Heads, which is almost 200 km north.

And it said that it was 12 degrees at Kingscliff, which is 20 km east.
And 9 degrees at Pottsville, which is 30 km south east.
And 11 degrees at Byron Bay, which is 60 km south east !

All of those places are right on the coast (except Murwillumbah)
Find it hard to believe that there could be that much variation, and that Kingscliff would be warmer than Noosa Heads !

Anyway, when I drove to Kingscliff at 7am it didn’t feel ANY warmer than Murwillumbah.
It might have been 7 degrees I guess but it certainly wasn’t 12 degrees.

To end out a cold week (well mornings anyway), this morning showed on BOM app as -0.4°, feels like -2.5° at 7:10am in my part of Brisbane. Lovely sunny days but cold starts - made harder by recovering from the dreaded Covid (I got back on the bike on Wednesday after almost a week off).

Yeah Warty, it was minus 3 in my part of Albury this morning with a nice frost on the grass so it certainly is fresh, will go out on the bike around 10.30 this morning when it warms up a bit. I had to take the bins out this morning so it's the only reason i know.

In South Western Sydney that happens quite a lot, cars have iced over windscreens and windows.

At least we don't get snow - in Europe it's much worse having to dig out your car (while everything is damn cold) and/or wait for everything warm up and defrost.

The weather seems nice for a morning ride warm but manageable. Hopefully, you can get out there soon and enjoy it! :)

Was a balmy 3 here out riding this morning, according the the BOM Sation 2 km from home. Although when I checked the Garmin halfway at it said 1.5.
Yesterday minus temperatures saw me pull the Doona back up instead of going out :). Cold in the shed where the trainer is so wimped that as well!

Awkward temperature this morning in Brisbane - officially 8 degrees but the westerly had it 'feels like 6' on the BOM site.

Not particularly cold but that's exactly on my threshold between 'winter sleeves and long-fingered gloves' and 'no sleeves and short fingered gloves'.

Probably made the wrong decision going on the lesser option. Though I think my major mistake was not wearing merino socks - right foot went so numb at one stage I thought I couldn't tell whether it was clipped in or not and it turned out it wasn't.

Minimum of 4°C this morning. I was warm enough with adequate cold weather gear but still enough of this endless cold weather.

I could ride here but home duties. I have been talking about replacing the disintegrated garden edging for several years and unfortunately have the steel to do so....

Got out again today. Bloody beautiful. Sun was out and hardly any wind. Along with hardly any cars. What cars I did encounter passed me with plenty of room.
They must've been in a good mood due to the cracker of a day too.

Sadly there are days we need to sacrifice, not only for peace but for piece of mind that once done, the sooner we get out riding again......which reminds me that i'll have to tidy up my ratty lawn for the first time in 3 Months.....i'm an expert at growing weeds it seems

I have pretty close to zero interest in doing it, but it has to be done and I aint paying somebody to.
Half days, ride in the morning first.

I hear you on the lawn. Ours is/was buffalo grass but weed seed from the straw I bring in for the chooks has taken over half of it.

Not sure if it's much good but i'll hit the lawns with a couple of bottles of weed n feed then again in mid September. I just want the grass to overtake the weeds.
My next door neighbour said you're gonna have to put 'em out by hand.....bugger that...they can stay there..

Yeah it does Foo but it doesn't fix the massive grey/brown gaps in the grass and heaven forbid if it somehow seeps into the grassy areas....it then promotes more weeds to join the party afterwards....well at least weeds are green
