I didn't bother going out. I probably could have got 120km.

It wasn't a loss though, did have some indoor trainer rides planned which I would have otherwise needed to do this afternoon.

A bit cool and some water across the road down thru Bobbin Head but still a good day for riding. Not much traffic and only a few riders.

Yes, a lot of standing water everywhere and quite windy but not too cold.

Since I'm nursing a slight injury at the moment I didn't do more than 50km this morning and at moderate pace That was fine given the conditions.

Hardly anyone else was out riding. I'll have to spend a lot of time cleaning up my bike though.

Give UNPASS the sponsor a try.

I got a roll of their cleaner. Probably overkill for mud you can hose off but does a good job wiping off chain gunge from the pushy and disk brake gunge on the motorcycle.

I have enough cleaning things here.

Very cold on the fingers these days even with the winter gloves.

Specialized had some heavier winter gloves that are warm. Bad news is they are bulky so difficult to feel the shifters/brake levers.

I didn’t even bother to wake up early today given the crappy weather. It’s pouring down loudly right now.

6ºC this morning but it didn't feel that bad - I felt colder on some other mornings. No wind this morning - very calm conditions.

I just wear my Dri-rider winter Motorcycle gloves and keeps my hands warm as my pushy isn't going as fast as My Motorcycle in the Cold seasons and as I've got Bar-end shifters on my bike, I can feel them to change gear no problem. Brake levers are also no problem and the gloves still give plenty of feel........so it's worth a shot I think to use motorcycling gloves as you need to feel what's going on with the control on a motorcycle as well so they are definitely not like a ski glove.

Has anyone else done this?

-1 here this morning....and no i didn't go out

I have a set of Gore cycling gloves which are very warm that I used this morning. They also have a very thin inner glove but rarely need to use them. Did use the inner gloves for a run this afternoon and they were ideal.

I just used the Cuore winter gloves which are whatever Jet Cycles had made for them in 2017 or somewhere around that time. They are not as warm as the Specialized ones but they are less bulky.

Admittedly I wasn't riding fast this morning - I still have to go easy with my ankle the way it is. I can do a bit more on the trainer but outside I don't want to risk anything and end up stuck 35km away from home.

Currently not too bad towards the north end of the state.

Currently 20 degrees after an overnight minimum of 6 degrees in Murwillumbah
But not much sun today because of cloud cover and sunset will be before 5pm which is kind of annoying.

Sydney probably not quite as cold as Stanthorpe just over the border in Queensland.
Max today will be 15 degrees after overnight minimum was 2 degrees.

Ignored the morning and went out to the M7 at 11am for a 3 hour roll along. Cool in shady areas, long sleeves not out of order for the whole ride!

Yay!

Not... Well it keeps me inside for now which is the safest thing till I know I'm completely over my injury, which isn't too far from being sorted.

It's already starting to get overcast now.
