Trp spyre calipers

Following on from my previous post.
Has anyone set these up, maybe with compression less cables, or in a way that you would say they are so much better than rim brakes.
As i am retired i and sort watching my pennies.
My tarmac has full duraace on it (rim br), i have a set of hunt 4 season wheels , nice bars and saddle.
In the theory i could buy a frame an transfer the lot onto it, but are the brakes that much better.
I have them on my Cannondale and they work better in the wet, but not sure elsewhere, maybe i am missing a trick or two.

I had TRP Spyre on my Fuji with compressionless outers. Tiagra levers. Hauled up 90kg rider and 12kg bike every time they had to. Best cable disc going around? Probably. They were my first real foray into disc, cable or hydro.

The other option is a cable hydro like TRP HyRD or the Juin Tech brakes. but if you're not spending and already have the Spyre, they should go ok.

Won't match a full hydro, but far from awful like basic cable discs.

Just read about the juin/trp, i had no idea such a product existed.

A lot better than a rim brake? No.
Better in the wet? Yes.
A solution that doesn't require you buying new shifters? Yes.
A quick route to discs if you find a nice frame? Yes.
Available in flat mount and post mount? Yes.

As for the hybrid systems, I had a set of HyRD but couldn't get them working well. I believe this was because the previous user had let them sit for so long that the pistons were binding. I didn't understand enough at the time to get them working satisfactorily, so I returned to the Spyres. Maybe now I could get them to work. A lot of users of the Juin report good results.

I like carbon wheels. Removing the braking heat and wear from the carbon rim/bead area is reason enough to go disc for me.
I hate riding in the rain but if I get caught in it carbon rim brake wheels are known for their sh it braking performance too.

Rain and dodgy Malaysian drivers have moved me to wanting discs.

I say give new housing a try Yokozuna housing for the win but big $$ so I run Jagwire on all my cable disc bikes

For me, I like mech brakes as they are the sort of kit you would take from one old bike to new as they to work on all types of road, flat bar or mountain brake levers ( and they will always work way better dedicated brake levers and not brifters)
