I see that whatever Marrickville Council is called now has finally fixed Carrington Rd.
Instead of the bike path having to give way to every side street including people turning into a street from behind the rider, they have repainted and re-signed so that the bikeway has priority!
(and so far the cars are doing the right thing)
Now if they could fix the bloody mess trying to get across Marrickville and Sydenham roads that would be nice.

There is a separated cycling lane in Wigram Street Harris Park (near the M4 cycleway) and I never, ever use it. I basically leaves you trapped in a small space with nowhere to go if a car charges out of a driveway and the intersection at the top basically would let cars cut you off.
I just ride straight up there in the normal traffic lanes.
I really dislike the lanes like those.

Noticed a new traffic sign to remind motorists before turning across a cycle lane. While it doesn't say give way, it's still a good reminder for both motorists and cyclists to pay attention.
