I popped in this morning for a look. Most tools and parts were gone except for 8/9 speed chains and a few cassettes. Still a few BMC roadies and Norco gravel bikes. Plenty of wet weather gear and winter gloves, and lights.Retrobyte wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 3:05 pm99 Bikes Lidcombe store closing down ....

Was starting to get low on my High5 electrolyte tabs from Wiggle, and whilst looking for something to fill up the order to avoid the silly shipping cost, stumbled across these
https://www.this link is broken/au/p/dhb-aeron-lab-xc-bib-shorts
It seems like the main claim to fame is the 'dyneema' inserts on the sides, and hopefully never used, but for $65 instead of $260, why not try ? The real kicker was there was only my size left ....
Sometimes, you get lucky !

That's a good deal, I just spent $250 on a Cues drivetrain a month ago. At least it wasn't a full DI2 groupset or I would be really upset.Andy01 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 6:36 pmBikeBug is having 20% off everything Shimano right now. Use code SHIM20.

If they offered click and collect, I might consider it, but with how much they charge for shipping it's not worth it.SheikYerbouti wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 5:38 pm25% off everything at Rapha for Singles Day, code is 1111.

Me too, but I am curious about Assos as they are generally considered some of the best bibs you can buy. I have held off because I'm barely riding the road bike at the moment, so makes it doubly hard to justify.

Thanks for that.
The Mille GT are $249.50 a pair normally so come down to $125.
I bought a couple of pairs at that price. Reviews seem good.

Even their entry stuff is good. Please report back if they go white in quick order. Maybe they have changed fabric, or maybe it's just me.
EDIT: I bought three entry level pairs and all had lost their shine and black and gone grey within 12 months. I binned them but some kept wearing them and then eventually go while to a very unappealing brown. I reckon this would have been 5 years ago though so maybe they have changed fabric.
EDIT2: You can see me and others talking about this in 2017 on page 2

I got a pair a while ago when on special too (years ago), and yes, they were great and well made and comfy to start with, but just didn't work for my tush.

I've found this is often the way with even high end bibs.MichaelB wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 8:47 amI got a pair a while ago when on special too (years ago), and yes, they were great and well made and comfy to start with, but just didn't work for my tush.
Le Col Pro don't work for me at all, but their entry level do. Pedal Mafia are way to wide, Castelli about perfect.
It's like saddles in a way which makes sense I suppose. Potentially they should sell bibs in 'chamois width'.
