Hi Everybody,
I'm looking for a cheap 11 speed cassette for my Audax bike to get some extra climbing gears, does anyone know if Sunrace cassettes work ok with Shimano? Also do 11speed SRAM and Shimano MTB cassettes work ok with Shimano road gear?
Thanks,
Pete

Yep, work fine.
Have used them (and using) for Gravel bike (11-42) and road (11-32) with no issues.
Have 3 off 11-32 in shed waiting for use atm

Cool, I was thinking about putting something bigger than 11-36t with a compact but I wonder if that's overkill.

So this should work fine with an Ultegra 8000 medium cage and a compact?

Yes, fine, but only the 11-40 with a compact. Although the derailleur will fit the 42T, it doesn't carry enough chain length to also work with a 16T front difference.
Bear in mind that MTB 11-sp. cassettes are designed to fit on the shorter 8/9/10-sp. freewheel body, so need a 1.85mm spacer behind. If your current cassette is 11-34 it will have one (they're also designed for the shorter body), but anything smaller will not.

I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Oh ok so it's the same spacer as what you'd need to fit a 10speed cassette onto an 11speed freehub?
