I purchased a Giant TCR Advanced 1 in 2020: https://www.giant-bicycles.com/md/tcr-a ... mpact-2020
which has PR-2 Disc 'Tubeless Ready' rims and tubeless tyres. I'd like to replace the tubeless with Continental Grand Prix 4000 (& tubes) as I've always had good results with them. However I've been told that if the rims are 'hookless' they can only be used with tubeless tyres.
I don't want to buy the GP's then find out my rims are hookless when I take the old tyres off; can anyone confirm what type the PR-2 rims are? Thanks.

Don't know.
Grab a couple of tyre levers and have a look.

Call a Giant store. But seeing as they're pretty basic ~2kg stock wheelset, and they're not exactly Giant's cutting edge product line, I'd guess they're not hookless (mind you, mine are from a 2016/17 model, so things may have changed)bernie01 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 19, 2022 9:48 amI purchased a Giant TCR Advanced 1 in 2020: https://www.giant-bicycles.com/md/tcr-a ... mpact-2020
