... I bought 2 pair of aeron bibs today.

Find the multiple differences in the chamois the real confusing bit, because they don't clearly state their heirarchy and real differences.

I am liking the look of the Aeron Ultra though .. https://www.this link is broken.au/dhb-aeron-ultra-bib-shorts

EDIT : What makes it confusing is trying to line up the dhb chamois naming with the Elastic Interface naming .... https://www.elasticinterface.com/cycling-pad/road/ :?:

It is difficult.
I found this for the "Paris HCS"
https://guides.this link is broken.au/how-elasti ... -your-ride
It mentions 7+hrs.
So I assume it is this;
https://www.elasticinterface.com/cyclin ... is-hp-men/
Which also mentions 7+ hrs.
It is the only "Paris" chamois I found that mentions 7+ hours but they don't call it the "HCS"

Anyway, I'll see how it goes. I have my saddle and fit pretty well sorted so chamois is not of huge importance personally.
I grabbed them on price/specification.
I have some elcheapo base level DHB that have been fine for 3-4 hours.
These shoud be at least as good.

The ones you are looking at should be even better going by the description 8)

I think some of the Elastic Interface chamois' that Wiggle use are custom made for Wiggle. When I once looked, it was hard to find a match for all them on the EI web site. Wiggle may sell enough that they are able to do custom deals with EI, based on a proprietary chamois spec.

Agree - it'd be nice though if they had the same info layout across the range to make it sensible. Meh.

Anyway, took a gamble and got two pair of the Aeron Ultra at $108 each. Will be interesting to see how they go. At a 40% reduction, they work out a pretty reasonable price.

A good excuse to finally get rid of some that are being used for the commutes only ...

Yeah that may be right, prob so.
I thought the ones I bought may also be superceded.
I'll post up somewhere how they go, prob this thread.

If you like DHB bibs, these at $50 could be good buying-
https://www.this link is broken/au/ ... prod154920
(Review very good on the site)
And - https://www.this link is broken/au/ ... prod163613 at $34.50 with good reviews.

Do you want the bad news, the have now reduced them to 50% off $90 https://www.this link is broken.au/dhb-aeron-lab-bib-shorts

Probably trying to clear them, before the new version arrives.

My older DHB Aeron 1.0 shorts had the stock grey EI Paris HP pad in them, which now a lot of bib manufacturers including AliExpress brands are now using.
My latest DHB Aeron 1.0 (which were replaced by the 2.0 9 months ago) have a custom purple pad, with DHB branding. I assume DHB are now ordering custom pads from EI, which from my understanding EI will do for orders over 5,000 and DHB will be ordering more than that. Can report the purple pad is as comfortable as EI Paris HP.
The EI Paris HCS pad is probably DHB saying to EI what happens if you add your HCS tech to the Paris pad, give us X to try in our experimental Lab range (which is what DHB is trying to push LAB as, their cutting edge experimental range)

Pushys is advertising a great price for some Thule bike racks.

For example, Thule VeloCompact 925 2 bike towball rack for $677.

https://www.pushys.com.au/thule-925-vel ... %3D.XZkeQe

This is a very nice rack that is easy to fit, easy to load bikes, reasonably lockable and tilts so that the rear door can be opened with the bikes loaded. Most places are selling it for around $900 - the Pushys standard price of $850 was already one of the cheapest around before the 20% off.

I can't justify spending the GDP of a small island nation on cycling kit, so I look for value for money, and I've always found DHB products to be excellent.

I bought four pairs of the $90 DHB Aeron bibs last year when they were sale on c r c. I think I used a coupon too, to bring it down to around $75 per pair. I think they're brilliant quality for the price - I love the cut, and the chamois hasn't caused me any discomfort on my long rides. They've held up well being regularly used/washed, too.

I'm probably in the minority, but I just can't fathom how people spend upwards of $200-250 for one pair of bibs. Then add in $100-150 for a jersey. It gets too expensive very quickly.

Love my DHB bibs and my Spexcel jerseys. Leaves more money to spend on the bike itself.

Ditto.
Just did 4hrs on the gravelly in Dhb's cheapest knicks. They were fine.
I've probably over spent at $90 a bib

+1 just ordered DHB Aeron bibs for $75 (50% off). Actually $68 each delivered with discount code.
Been wearing DHB winter long bibs this winter and they have been great. I also bought some Aerotech winter bibs but sizing is weird. They are a tall fit, size Tall XL, but loose around the calves and even thighs. Size L probably would be correct. In DHB I am size XXL. They are well made and comfortable.

Quality must have change since I last had some. I got just 6mths out of the last pair before the chamois stitching started letting go. :x The previous ones had been okay but after the 2nd pair did that and reading from others that had the same problem I swore off them. :P

Hmm - only worn the Aerotechs a few times so no issues at the moment. Wore this week with thick socks underneath which eliminated flapping around the calves. Put them in dryer on delicate hoping they may shrink slightly but it did not appear to work.

A year ago, I recommended the Aeron bibs to a mate. He loved it from day 1.
Hence, I was surprised to hear him lamenting the bibs' comfort 9 mths later. Your post reminded me of his feedback - comfortable when new, but did not last.

Hopefully the current batch is better.

Got my aeron lab bibs
https://www.this link is broken.au/dhb-aeron-lab-bib-shorts

Very happy with the build quality of them thus far and the medium is still a good fit.
Haven't ridden in them yet.
If they are still around at that price I may get a couple more.

I haven't ever had problems with dhb bibs falling apart.
I am usually mid 70s kg, currently 78kg and 184cm.
Maybe they don't deal with the added stress larger body shapes put on them? Not sure :?

Hopefully will trial them out this week

Rode the aeron lab for a hunjy outside today.
They were very comfy.
Seem well made and the fit is good.
They are sold out so grabbed the last of the regular aeron bibs in an M.
https://www.this link is broken.au/dhb-aeron-bib-shorts
They were on $75- and have the Elastic Interface Paris HP chamois which is actually on their site. Mustn't be a custom goer made for wig gle. https://www.elasticinterface.com/cyclin ... is-hp-men/ and is also supposed to be good for 7+ hr rides.

Hopefully they do a similar sale next year.
