Colnago C68 is here:

https://www.colnago.com/bike-product/de ... d-titanium

That's not bad, black and gold titanium version at least. Would I buy one, no not really. If special is the requirement, there are other boutique road bikes that are much nicer still. But they can customise this a lot.

It's not a genuine Ernie so that's a fair call in my book.

Mind you, his name appeared on the C64. The black and red one is nice to look at but for its cost, there are better bikes out there.

This ticks most of the boxes for me.
Ultegra di2.
Disc.
32mm tyre clearance and I like the colours.
Now to start my long campaign to get clearance to spend the money

Thanks! Yet to be established whether it is actually on the way, though. Email on 8 June said it was shipped and in 24 hours I'd get tracking details. Photos on the ordering system show the serial number and a red bike in my size being prepped and boxed. Silence through their support system since. I followed up with an email this morning.

Yes, I would be very keen to be on it and riding too, even just to have it there and just gaze at it for a while. :)
Hopefully it isn't too far away.

Got a response today. :D In Milan awaiting outbound customs clearance. My zero setback seatpost and spare derailleur hanger arrived from the UK today so now I at least have something tangible to drool over

Si quotes about EUR21k toward the end of the video. That's with the 3D printed Ti geometry customisation, custom paint, top end gruppo, other bits and pieces, delivery by a Colnago employee yada yada. It's about AUD1.49 to EUR1.00 based on my recent purchase.

As the recent new owner of my first ever disc braked bike (a Norco Search 1x11 gravel bike I'm using as a commuter), my only desire for a new road bike when the time comes will be for it to have disc brakes - I've seen the light, after a lifetime of riding with rim brakes. That said, my rim brake roadie is still awesome (Bianchi Infinito CV) so a new roadie is not on the horizon at the moment.

Good news and bad news.

The good news is it arrived today.

The bad news is, when they packed it they left the rear derailleur attached. A major no-no for air transport of bikes.

Absent the rear wheel and thru-axle being in place, all that holds the hanger to the frame is an M2.5 hex-head bolt. So when the box has gone tumbling down the conveyor in the freight terminal, the mass of the derailleur and chain has munted the rear drive-side dropout, cracking the carbon either side. The bike is in no way safe to ride.

I've sent photos and a message. Over to ciclimattio.

PFBB.

Hope it gets sorted ASAP. Seems like a silly error on their part.

Wow, what an error.

Is a solution to put the axle back in, at least as some sort of support? Nice to know for us thru axle noobs.

Definitely a rookie error. Such a shame - it's a real purty bike otherwise.
