Thanks mate but I have to question my sanity with my age and fitness level = none. It does give the heart rate a good workout. (Heart Rate Avg 180bpm Max 194bpm)

Hey you aint letting it stop you 8)

You've got a small heart like me.
Cardiac output = heart rate x stroke volume.

Us heartless bastards have to pump faster to get the same output

    It still makes me laugh when people find out how high I can go and then the average for a hard session and unlike many, my performance doesn't drop off at the high rate. Oh well, I'll get my fitness back and be 20-25kgs lighter and then those rotters that are 20-40yrs younger will get a real fright.

I get it although I would suggest 'appreciate' rather than 'love'.

I'm a sick bastard, well so I've been told but if you can't push into the hurt locker and hold it for the duration, you can't appreciate or enjoy the feeling of when the ride is finished and that's where the love comes in, especially when you look at others around you looking at you thinking.............is he going to die or he's just friggin mad.

Last round of the series in on Sunday and of course, I put my hand up for some pain and suffering, just for the kids.

Well that's a wrap for another series. Suffered badly but I forgot to take my pain killers before the ride and my lower back and hips gave me so much grief after 2klms. Still, I gave it all that I had and that's all I can do for the kids. 12th in the category for the team and I was 5th fastest on the bike leg, which surprises me, because with only 198klms for the year leading into it, I expected to be well down the list with most of the other riders having done almost 10 times this amount.
