A friend has just returned after 3 years in Finland. He used to delight in sending us photos of the incredible cycling infrastructure that is everywhere. Cycling is simply more convenient than having a car, and the winter weather makes little difference. Cycle paths are cleared of snow as quickly as the roads, and are very well maintained.

Everybody cycles, it's a normal way of getting around.
