can anyone point me in the right direction please regarding the not so expensive single speed bicycle ?
Used bike market is still hot and prices are little higher.
First questions is there any decent bike for $500 (under) and if looking for used, which one to consider or things to keep in mind.
I was looking for Fuji Feather but not many out there.
Thanks for your time.
Update : my height is 5'10

The Fuji Feather and the Masi Uno are both good options, however neither of these are/were available under $500.
Fuji also made a more cost-effective single-speed called the Declaration, but I think that stopped in 2019 (?). You may find one of those floating around. I think Jamis also made one, which would be closer to your budget.

Cellbikes CELL Fixie
Was a very good single speed for the price - should be a few around - have an orange 56 made up for my daughter as a uni bike but now sitting un-used - would need to be near Canberra

Being in Melbourne, you could find the Fuji Declaration at Northside Cycles in Nth Melb.
At 5'10 we'd probably be looking at the 55cm frame, and maybe swap the Thickslicks for something a bit better (Vittoria Rubino, Schwalbe One etc).

These Cell bikes were were just sold via the cell bike shop and online.
If you are looking second hand, highly recommend key an eye out for the old On-One il Pompino - maybe tricky as these were highly sought as such a fun bike to ride and build into a do it all bike.
Have used mine as an all weather commuter hack and single speed cx bike and it just wont die - a classic example of the days when what the bike did and how in terms of the geo was important vs today's how it looks and what it was called so it can be best marketed to the masses....
