Good to see the brands are listening. Spesh has gone back to threaded BSA for all but their high end models - apparently they figured out what we all knew - that pressfit tolerances are crap and require a lot more QA to actually work. I don't know how trek managed to sell bikes for as long as they did with their own proprietry BBs but they too have come to their senses and taken up T47. Funny thing is I never had any major problems on the bottom bracket of my old Madone from 2012. Still have that bike. It just has press-fit whatever and runs okay. My Canyon at the moment is also a pressfit and doesn't do any creaking and hasn't done so from the word go. Treks actually managed to do press fit ok - I haven't heard of any issues at all actually. The issue was more that they went out on a limb and created their own standard. Heck they even managed to get distribution done ok but alas it is an orphaned standards that is only slightly marginally better than PF86/92 from a technical standpoint.

When you have a bike that is already below the UCI weight limit (by a big margin) on alloy wheels, then you just don’t care about any further weight reduction. Nice bike though, and I'd plump for the Canyon tho. Mainly because that's not how we spell specialised ......
** - Interesting to note, no SRAM version - only DA Di2 or EPS .....

I saw that one, that's not nice at all. Urgh.
