Some opportunistic lowlife and an accomplice took off with my Sirrus yesterday.
It was outside a cafe on a bicycle loop. I normally sit inside the cafe in a position to observe the bike loops - so didn't lock it up.
Cafe is Thomson Street cafe - Fairfield/Dennis area Melbourne
I was on the phone.
Bike is very distinctive - XXL black Sirrus with white Fizik saddle. Aluminum / carbon model.
Has Ksyrium wheels with new Espoir tyres. 4700 groupset.
You need to be over 6'2 - 188 to ride this bike.
It's so distinctive it's an easy spot. My guess that this was a targeted strike and will be shifted South of the Yarra and sold for the parts.
No ID number recorded Another mistake by me.
I saw one of the lowlifes pass the cafe on the footpath on a Samson with no helmet.
Passed that description on too the local authority but without a ID number

Terrible shame.
Man that is a huge bike. Huge. Should stand out like the proverbial.

It's not on Gumtree anywhere in Melbourne that I can see, may be worth checking out local Cash Converters / Pawn shops over the next couple days. Sorry for your loss.
Campagnolo for show, SunTour for go

Thanks for the support guys.
To put some perspective on it.
I picked up a mates new SUV from the dealership last Friday. He paid big bucks for it. I knew as soon as I drove it from the showroom that $20 -30 thousand bucks were just shed on depreciation.
A thousand bucks loss on a bike seems to be insignificant in value but it’s the sense of violation of Personel space when some lowlife scumbag takes something you put a lot of work into.
I had just got that bike down to just over 9 kilos and was great for doing the errands and zooming into town. Very easy to do 70 plus kilometres on for such a big bike - reasonably quick too.
Wet weather bike
A replacement is going to be up around $2,000.00.
I just sold my Norco Threshold last week.
