2019 BianchCam ACF Commuting Challenge (AT) Endomondo
Postby jasonc » Thu Dec 27, 2018 3:11 pm
"ACF BNA Commuter challenge. A commute is where you start at one destination and end at another for a purpose other than training. e.g. to work, to the shops......"
If you would like to join please find the link to the challenge here https://www.endomondo.com/challenges/39070962 (and yes you will have to join Endomondo).
Access to the challenge will be closed at some point (usually end of January) to stop the randoms, but Jason will open it up on request to allow new competitors in.
If you are using a bike computer that auto-uploads to Endomondo, it will most likely appear as a recreational ride. You'll need to change it to cycling (transport) to count.
Rules:
A commute is where you start at one destination and end at another for a purpose other than training. e.g. to work, to the shops, to your mistresses'/paramour's house. it's a ride that is replacing another form of transport. If you are riding to a race (that you are competing in) that's not transport, that's a warm up.
You must update your rides no less frequent than monthly otherwise the challenge becomes difficult to keep track of.
Extended commutes count. e.g. Do a group ride on the way to work, then ride to work. That counts. HOWEVER, if you ride home to pick up your bag, then it's only from there that the distance counts!
Good luck
Prize: If you win you can bask in the glory of beating me

One for that other thread starting with E that shall not be named. Flaked out in the evening after 1st day back on Jan 2nd and had a lovely 8hrs sleep.
Jan 3rd became a rest day as the rest of the family also slept in after swimming lessons started Jan 2nd, cloudy morning so none of the usual suspects roused early.
Jan 4th AM now wake after I fell asleep in recliner/couch, beat the alarms I did set though, now posting with an hour to kill

Only issue is I am mostly using a Lezyne computer which doesnt sync with endomondo and cant seem to get strava to sync to endomondo so I may log my weeks rides manually. My strava has all my rides and that is open in case anyone wants to keep me honest

I doubt it... I do have a couple of 1500km bikepacking rides coming up so do need to get my km and hills up again but at the same time need to juggle getting home at a reasonable time and get running and dog walks in so will do more than last year but less than previous, well unless i am close near the pointy end and then I may up it againjasonc wrote:I'm good with that. I trust you. You will most likely get me this year

Can you also fix the thread title? It's not BinachCam or BianchiCam, it's BianchCam. Thanks.find_bruce wrote:Thanks for setting this up Jason, I will make it sticky.

Do you use the app? If you have a look at the challenge does it show the leaderboard? All I see is the totals for the top 3, but no names and no info on other members.jasonc wrote:error for me too jools. was working this morning.
I have logged a support request with endomondo.
