Those BOA bikes look just like the Aldi bikes... (which were sold new at the same price, and reduced more afterwards).10speedsemiracer wrote:Bicycles Online clearing out their ex-demo bikes, and once you get past the entry-level BSOs, there are a couple of bargains, like a Polygon Tiagra4700 for $800, and a couple of disc bikes with either SRAM Rival or Shimano 105 11sp for $1500 (alloy frames).

I've never seen a BOA branded bike in the flesh although I have seen a Polygon, which surprised me with how well it seemed to be screwed together. It felt a little bit like a Merida to ride, and the one I played around with had Tiagra front to back except for the calipers, which I think were decent Tektro (not the entry-level Tektro).Zippy7 wrote:Those BOA bikes look just like the Aldi bikes... At that price point, I thought it was actually quite decent (the Polygon).

You might also get $20 off as a "new customer", by combining the old c r c trick of checking out as a guest but finalising as member, would bring it under $100.

Out of stock for the black ones in 175 and midcompact but good tips.RichB wrote:Despite being owned by c r c, Wiggle can have different pricing for same items. I bought a set of 170mm 105s for around $120 a few months back.

I tried them for ultgra last night but the damn site was playing up so I threw in the towel. Its 50gm difference from 105 to Ultgera.
I'm tipping an ageing never was like myself wont notice a difference. lol

A distributer is closing down ... I just skimmed some of the items ... CAUTION - looks like it could be a serious contender for a n+1 event

The original RRP was something you would see Specialized or Pinarello charge.

I can confirm these are genuine, 2012 NOS models, I registered the details and serial number with Pinarello and received a confirmation email saying I have a 3 year warranty and crash protection program thing. 2012 frame with a warranty till 2020, nice.Bentnose wrote:Cycling Deals have Pinarello Dogma XC 29er frames in XL, they had large but they've ran out, I bought the last one, $849, they'll be NOS, not sure exactly how old but but new enough to be worthwhile, a 2018 model is quite expensive. https://www.cyclingdeal.com.au/buy/pina ... ead/FM-PIN

Yep I went out there and had a look some OK deals and I was tempted, Fuji SL 1.2 with eTap for $5K was a good deal but honestly, not that good a deal that I would take the risk of not being able to take it back if I found a crack in the frame etc (no distributor to take it back to).Ross wrote:I saw that too but thought the prices were nothing special, if you look around there are other brand bikes similiarly specced for similar money.

Just found some Vee Tyres dirt cheap here. https://www.veetireco.com.au/
Mostly Fat and PLUS with some CX, road and mtb stuff. No E-bike specific tyres so that's good.
