Unless my parcel turns up, I will be there with my modern commuter, complete with front rack, oh the shame! Only new path I am aware of is Subiaco Creek, but happy to go exploring. How about we start from Parramatta & do a loop back through SOP - may be able to attract Hergest & Claire with the promise of pork & fennel rolls at the Bourke St Bakery.

The Queens Road (between Parra Park and Westmead Hospital) separated bike lane is worth a look too, although it may not be finished.

It's been a while between pork rolls...

Next Saturday (11th Nov), RBCC at doing a Retro Day at Heffron park, coinciding with day's racing. Swap meet, retro bike show, yada yada.

The event starts at about 12 noon.

Quang and I will likely be riding there to check things out. Cooks River, Airport, then work our way towards the park. So we will probably take 1.5-2hrs at a leisurely pace

Come along! Our knowledge of the area is lacking so if anyone knows a good route that would be great.

I'll be in that if I work allows. Haven't ridden a bicycle that way but be inclined to go down Aiport Dr, Burke, Gardener's Rd cos that's the only way past the golf club, and then get to Bunnerong Rd. Reckon Bunnerong's quieter than Anzac although I seem to recall it is only 1 lane each way so Anzac might be better.

Meet folks at the little reserve by the Centenery Drive wall. If the Rocket is coming I might bring the trike.

Sorry people I would have liked to join you, but family calls. Haven't ridden a road bike in a while as I'm struggling with a shoulder injury, but I should be able to cope with a gentle retro ride.
