Haven't bothered. Check the fine print, the item you want is probably exempt from any discount, VIP or other, as most of their items seem to be exempt from other discounts

There's a tech sale on ebay with 20% off using code C20TEK. Ryda has the new Fenix 5 listed (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/122349187138) -- which brings the price down by $189.80 from $949 to $759.2 (or even cheaper if you get the non-sapphire glass version).

I'll be ordering the above shortly, but just need to call Garmin Australia first and confirm they're an authorised seller and it will be covered under genuine warranty as claimed on the listing -- they're not listed on the Garmin website using the deal locator.

Coupon expires 23.59 (AEDT) on 2 May 2017 (today).

It's preorder with apparently a 4-8 week wait, but I'm happy to wait given the discount.

EDIT: Phoned Garmin Support this morning, and confirmed Ryda are an authorised (and 'recommended', apparently) retailer. Also confirmed ebay listing will be covered under warranty, given the ebay store is for Ryda, and not a private listing. Preorder placed!

Not really a special as such, but I noticed 99 Bikes has those Castelli Quindici soft wool socks!

$29 a pair and the most comfortable and really warm socks to wear. Easily the best I've tried on the market and way better than those Capo wool socks.

I did not check out the other range, however I have been looking at the Emonda S5 which retails at $2499 but they are offering $2199. If I get accessories with the purchase they can do a better deal. Trek Leederville in Perth WA

I'm sure the quality is not that great but there aren't many frames around at that price, even second hand.

I've bought a $89 one to build a bike from all the spare parts lying around. Should be good enough for the non-cycling members of the family to have an occasional pootle around the local parkland paths.
