Freeship wasn't available (tried the freeship code and didn't work with various amounts). I even contemplated spending $100 and had $101 in my basket at one stage but came to my senses and decided I didn't need all that stuff.


Btw Ribble is having their January sale on now as well (mucketering!) Haven't had a look yet but should be interesting.

At $2511, verbal quote of $2380, seems to be the cheapest DI2 bike I've seen.

Good bike, reasonably light.
Except for wheels (require immediate replacement) and cheap compact crankset. Also think of a saddle (most people have their own) and pedals.

At roughly $700-$1000 more (depending on best price they can give), it looks like the 7000-e gets better wheels, brakes, tyres, cassette, headset, crankset and stem.
On paper it looks like it's worth the upgrade, but am I going to notice the difference? I'm going to be using this bike mainly for commuting.

Agree, this upgrade is not worth $1000. BTW wheels - Fulcrum Racing 3 - hardly any better, I can sell an almost new pair for $200 (with cassette)

eg 50x25 for USD528 down from USD606

The rims are 520g each and you can get a hub at 360 a set, so something easily under 1500g is doable

No way will the weight be under 1500g once you account for spokes and nipples.

Yeah kinda disappointed as I wanted a good jacket for the upcoming autumn/ winter.
They only had XS in stock pretty much as soon as the sale was on.
The sprinter jeans were also N/A.
